Born in Washington D.C., Marissa Robinson was formally educated at Howard University, the Aveda Arts and Sciences Institute in Atlanta, Georgia, and Vidal Sassoon London, James Ryder Academy for Hair and Makeup in Film and Televison.
INSPIRATION
Her success is inspired by the words of African American entrepreneur, philanthropist, and activist, Madam C. J. Walker, the first female self-made millionaire in America, who made her fortune with her own line of hair products. “I had to make my own living and my own opportunity. But I made it! Don’t sit down and wait for the opportunities to come. Get up and make them.”

Marissa’s first trip to the hair salon, when she was 5, was at Bill Lawrence Salon ( where she’s worked for the last 15 years). It ignited her passion and purpose for beauty from the great impact it made on here in my first moments in the salon chair.
